The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for performing warehousing activities, inventory control, and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Check in all daily incoming shipments, compare actual count to packing slip, and process accordingly.
• Post all incoming packing slips into the computer and handle shortages or damaged parts following company procedures.
• Process incoming stock orders within 24 hours.
• Put away incoming stock in the correct bin location, label parts with barcodes, and update the computer records.
• Locate new parts in stock, determine correct locations, and update records and labels.
• Check incoming inter-branch shipments, process packing slips, generate picking lists, and organize parts for delivery.
• Dispose of unnecessary packing materials after shipments are checked in.
• Pull customer orders, prepare for shipment or delivery, and manage will-call inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts warehouse, following safety guidelines.
• Manage junk core inventory, ensure proper tagging, and coordinate weekly returns or shipments to vendors.
• Dispatch parts drivers, develop driving directions, and serve as backup driver if needed.
• Process returns, ensure parts are in resalable condition, and file freight claims within 24 hours for shortages or damages.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three months of related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record if driving for the company.
• Forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use a box or cardboard crusher.
• Proficiency in computer software used by the company.
