Job summary

Wabtec in New York is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, store and distribute materials with accuracy and timeliness across the facility.

Key duties include operating warehouse equipment, picking and staging materials for work orders, and recording transactions in the MRP system. Candidates must be detail-oriented, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and adapt to a flexible schedule to support shipping and inventory activities.

Qualifications

• Experience safely operating warehouse equipment.
• Must wear proper safety equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office and MRP systems.
• Ability to pick and stage material for work orders.
• Record materials received/distributed in system.
• Experience with shipping/receiving.
• Assist/lead physical inventory counting.
• Must have a flexible work schedule.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Work independently and with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and distribute materials within the warehouse and facility with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves; relocate orders as needed.
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness and safety at all times.
• Complete transactions in the MRP system and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate and participate in physical inventory counting.

Job Responsibilities

This position receives, stores and distributes material and products within the warehouse and the facility ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Job Requirements

• Experience in safely operating warehouse equipment is a must.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.
• Computer experience with MS Office and MRP systems.
• Ability to pick and stage material for work orders.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate system transaction or computer program.
• Experience with shipping, receiving and warehouse components are a must
• Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
• Assist/lead with the coordination of physical inventory counting.
• Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Must have a flexible work schedule.
• Ability to work independently and with coworkers
• Ability to lift 50 pounds over head.
• Complete various types of transactions within the MRP system.

The salary rate for this role is currently $20-25 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Compensation:

$20-$20
