Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily production through accurate material movement including receiving, picking, kitting, line delivery, shipping and inventory control.

Responsibilities include ERP transactions, cycle counts, and collaboration with Inventory Control, Production teams, and leadership to maintain inventory accuracy and on‑time line delivery.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations.
• Forklift certification or equipment proficiency.
• ERP or warehouse system experience.
• Can lift up to 50lbs and work on a ship floor.
• High school diploma.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with kitting, line delivery, or cycle counting.
• Experience acting as an informal team resource or trainer.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory tasks.
• Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
• Load/unload trucks using forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Maintain organized, compliant warehouse and lineside areas.
• Perform ERP transactions for material movements and inventory changes.
• Identify shortages, damages, or system discrepancies and escalate.
• Support kitting and delivery of materials to production at point of use.
• Provide on‑the‑job guidance and cross‑training to Warehouse Associate I roles.
• Assist with daily task coordination to support coverage and priority changes.
• Communicate operational issues, risks, or delays to leadership.

Job description

You will work with a collaborative Warehouse and Materials team that supports production through accurate and timely material flow. This role partners closely with other warehouse associates, inventory control, production teams, and leadership to maintain inventory accuracy, support line delivery, and keep daily operations running smoothly.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for supporting daily production through accurate and timely material movement across receiving, picking, kitting, line delivery, shipping, and inventory functions. You will ensure inventory accuracy, complete ERP transactions, and identify and escape material issues that impact operations.

What do we want to know about you?

• Do you have at least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations?

What will your typical day look like?

• Independently execute receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory tasks
• Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and discrepancy investigation
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Maintain organized, compliant warehouse and lineside material areas
• Perform accurate ERP transactions for material movement and inventory changes
• Identify material shortages, damage, or system discrepancies and elevate appropriately
• Support kitting and delivery of materials to production at the point of use
• Provide on‑the‑job guidance and cross‑training to Warehouse Associate I roles
• Assist with daily task coordination to support coverage and priority changes
• Communicate operational issues, risks, or delays to leadership

What about the physical demands of the job?

• Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs, carrying, or pushing materials (weight varies by site requirements), sitting, walking, reaching outward, reaching up, squatting, bending
• Occasional climbing, crawling, lifting more than 20 lb, exposure to heat, exposure to cold, exposure to dust

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $20.00-$23.00 per hour
