Job summary

Capitol Distributing, the leading convenience wholesale distributor, is hiring a Warehouse Clerk to manage inventory, process shipments, and support efficient warehouse operations.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate warehouse equipment, and maintain accuracy in records, while adhering to safety guidelines. Regular shifts with early start times and occasional overtime are part of this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Warehouse or Manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to understand warehouse mapping and layout.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift and move cases occasionally up to 50+ lbs.
• Must follow company policies and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work overtime upon request.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and processing shipments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments and store products properly.
• Pick and pack orders for shipment.
• Unload totes from trailers and replenish inventory as needed.
• Operate designated machinery safely and efficiently.
• Rotate products using first-in/first-out methods.
• Assist receiving and order selection teams when required.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety protocols.

Job description

Starting Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour + bonuses

Schedule: Full-time shifts can begin as early as 3:00am and end in the afternoon with occasional overtime.

Job Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for managing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Key duties include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, organizing and storing products, picking and packing orders, tote unloading, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and adherence to safety protocols.

• The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient replenishment of products in the warehouse.
• Replenishing product in inventory slots.
• Unloaded empty totes from trailers.
• Operate certain machinery.
• Rotating product throughout the facility using the first in/first out method.
• Assist in obtaining products from the receiving team.
• Assist the order selection team when necessary.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Fold and stack cardboard as needed.
• Follow safety & security guidelines.
• Knowledgeable of work area and inventory
• Perform other duties and work in other areas as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Warehouse Clerks will work in regular or freezer temperatures. Individuals working in freezer conditions will be provided with adequate cold gear and receive additional hourly differentials. This role is very fast-paced and requires a significant amount of movement to meet replenishment rates. The position will also require general physical movements such as frequently walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching, occasionally lifting 50+Lbs Individuals will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/ policies.
