Job summary

BARNES & NOBLE is seeking a Cleaner for 1st shift (Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm) to maintain the warehouse and offices in a clean, orderly condition, using appropriate supplies and powered equipment as needed at the Monroe Township distribution center in New Jersey.

Compensation is $17.00 per hour, based on experience and other factors. Benefits vary by schedule and may include health, PTO, employee discounts, and other company programs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in facilities cleaning and/or maintenance.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to understand, read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Warehouse: Sweeps floors, empties trash, cleans offices, handrails and water coolers.
• Floors: Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors using brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners.
• Restrooms: Replenishes supplies, cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors.
• Break rooms/kitchenettes: Replenishes supplies and cleans sinks, countertops, tables.
