Job summary

BARNES & NOBLE is seeking a Seasonal Material Handler for the 2nd shift at the Monroe Township distribution center. The role supports production/assembly with material flow, requiring lifting up to 50 lbs and loading/unloading trucks.

You will rotate among tasks, palletize, stock shelves, and operate conveyor-related duties while maintaining safety and accuracy. Starting pay is $17.50/hr plus a $1.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repeated bending and standing.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely at all times.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and foster a safe work environment.
• Palletize, put away and ship product in a timely and accurate manner.
• Rotate within all material handler functions including loading/unloading and packing support.
• Work with urgency to meet daily production goals.
• Assist new hires and transfers with questions.
• Communicate positively with booksellers and management.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Flexibility with schedule during peak season.
