Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a permanent full-time Case Picker in Morris, Illinois. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handle food products, and operate a sit-down forklift to move pallets and cases.

Compensation includes weekly pay of $21.75 per hour and on-the-job training. Benefits start at 30 days and include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, employee discounts, and stock opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adequate math skills.
• Able to read location codes and product codes.
• GMP knowledge or commitment to GMP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Multitasking, highly organized with strong time management.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Picking product and case pick.
• Palletize, hand stack and stretch wrap product as required.
• Safely operate material handling equipment.
• Assist in cycle counting and inventory control as required.
• Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Must have adequate math skills
• Able to recognize and read location codes and product codes
• Meet and exceed established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
