Warehouse Building Maintenance – Decatur, IL

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday. Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overall building maintenance and upkeep of three warehouse facilities, including maintaining systems and handling equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, comprehensive, and preventative maintenance tasks
• Inspect warehouse handling equipment and racking systems
• Maintain forklift fleet
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Perform millwright duties and rigging
• Respond promptly to service requests
• Read spec sheets and blueprints
• Ensure accurate maintenance records
• Lift heavy items (50 lbs.), bend, kneel, work at heights
• Work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Follow safety policies and report incidents
• Assist in maintaining organized and safe work environment

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18+ years old
• Valid Driver’s License
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• Effective communication in English
• Enhanced millwright and mechanical skills; certifications preferred
• Participation in safety and environmental programs
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong reading, attention to detail, leadership, and diagnostic skills
• HVAC, electrical knowledge, and millwright certification preferred

Working Conditions:

• Non-air-conditioned environment, seasonal and outdoor elements
• Dust, odors, noise levels requiring PPE
• Use of PPE such as hardhats, safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed shoes

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility, lifting (up to 55 lbs.), working at heights, confined spaces
• Ability to wear respirators and traverse distances during work

ADM requires background check and medical clearance. Pay range: $26 - $30/hour based on experience.
