Job summary

Carolina Handling LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Applications Engineer in our Intralogistics Solutions Group. You will develop, design, and support warehouse automation and material handling solutions, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and vendors to drive ROI and safety.

You’ll analyze customer needs, perform site surveys, design layouts, prepare bills of materials, and support project execution from discovery to start-up.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales support and technical coordination.
• Ability to analyze requirements and design solutions.
• Cross-functional coordination with sales, operations and vendors.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support customer presentations, demonstrations and proposal reviews.
• Provide technical expertise during the sales process.
• Develop pricing support and quotation documentation.
• Assist with sales training and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain opportunity and project information within CRM systems.
• Analyze customer requirements, workflows and operational challenges.
• Conduct site surveys and data collection for solution development.
• Design facility layouts, system concepts and design alternatives.
• Prepare bills of material and equipment recommendations.
• Research emerging technologies and warehouse systems.
• Coordinate with Operations, Project Management, vendors and suppliers.
• Support project execution activities including procurement, installation and startup planning.
• Monitor project scope, schedules and budgets; resolve technical issues.
• Network with dealer resources and build industry relationships.
