Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Project Engineer – Warehouse Automation & Engineering to support the design, build and improvement of distribution facilities. You will work with project managers, engineers and suppliers to drive material handling systems and related processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 2+ years in warehouse or automation projects, strong communication, analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel, AutoCAD and simulation tools; travel up to 75% is

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
2+ years in enterprise systems, warehouse or supply chain automation projects.
Experience in warehouse design, processes, and standardization work.
Strong communication across technical and business teams.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Excel, Project, Access, Word, SIMIO or similar, and AutoCAD.
Willing to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

Supports project managers and directors in material handling system development and facility projects.
Assists in project charters and capital expenditure preparations.
Manages project scope per charter guidelines and reports on timelines.
Coordinates with internal teams and external vendors; conducts site coordination and testing.
Develops engineering documentation and maintains DC as-built drawings.
Provides engineering insight for operational and process changes.
May manage budgets and purchase orders as per policy.
