Job Summary

Summary: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reads schedules and orders to determine items to be moved or gathered.
2. Conveys materials from receiving or production to storage or other areas.
3. Places materials on racks, shelves, or in refrigerated rooms according to type or code.
4. Fills requisitions and distributes items to production or shipping.
5. Assembles customer orders and places them on pallets or shelves, then conveys to packing or shipping.
6. Marks materials with identifying information.
7. Opens containers and records amounts received or distributed.
8. Ensures conformance to standards by weighing or counting items.
9. Arranges stock parts for assembly.
10. Uses computer to enter records and compile worksheets.
11. Drives vehicle to transport or pick up items.
12. Prepares parcels for mailing and maintains inventory records.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
14. Follows HACCP standards for presentation and temperature control.
15. Commits to safety and abides by all policies, including proper glove and footwear use, and safe handling of hot items.
