Job summary

Rex Lumber, LLC. in Graceville, FL is seeking a Warehouse Attendant to support daily warehouse operations and ensure accurate inventory control.

You will handle receiving, labeling, tagging, scanning, and storage of parts, while maintaining a safe workspace and supporting production during shifts. The role requires forklift experience, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a collaborative approach to keep parts accessible and properly inventoried.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Purchasing/Warehouse Manager
• Oversee warehouse operations and processes
• Ensure items are tagged, labeled, and stored correctly
• Maintain monthly cycle counts and annual inventory verification
• Ensure accurate scanning and proper use of the scanning station
• Keep aisles clear and safe
• Label parts with barcodes and locate them correctly
• Assist others in locating parts and maintaining warehouse staffing
• Drive and operate forklifts and hoists for heavy items
• Perform other duties as required
• Direct Warehouse Attendant/Parts Runner and schedule work
• Coordinate activities to optimize WA hours
• Prioritize WA tasks to maximize production
• Complete quarterly and annual performance documentation
• Drive with a good MVR and comply with safety rules
• Follow Rex Lumber safety procedures
• Lift up to 75lbs occasionally; 15-50 lbs frequently when bending/twisting
• Engage in on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within the company

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Reports to the Purchasing/Warehouse Manager

General Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Receives deliveries and ensures items are properly tagged, labeled, and put in appropriate bin.
• Assure inventory accuracy by monthly cycle counting and annual inventory verification.
• Encourage that parts are scanned out of the Warehouse correctly. Work with maintenance to make sure employees know how to operate the scanning station; post instructions and reinforce the proper method to scan items.
• Keep aisles clear of clutter and debris to ensure the safety of anyone that enters.
• Keep all parts properly labeled with bar codes for ease of scanning and located on the proper shelf, maintain computer locations, and inventory counts.
• Assist those that need help locating parts in the Warehouse.
• Keep the Warehouse staffed as much as possible during production hours.
• Required to have knowledge of hoist chain to lift large rolls of metal, build crates for large parts and be comfortable using forklift to move heavy items.
• Other duties and functions as required.

Warehouse Attendant

• Directs Warehouse Attendant/Parts Runner (WA) his/her duties.
• Responsible for the scheduling of work and coordination of activities to optimize the hours clocked by the WA
• Prioritize the role of the WA to maximize production.
• Complete the performance evaluation of the WA for the 90 day probation, annually and any other needed discipline or counseling documentation.
• Other duties and functions as required.

Vehicles/Driving

• A good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is necessary, as driving is integral with this job

• Responsible for the Safety of self and others
• Understands safety information
• Oversees proper body positioning, proper use of tools, pinch points
• Job requires lifting, up to 75lbs occasionally, 15-50 lbs consistently while bending, and twisting.
