ABOUT THE POSITION

The Warehouse Associate works inside and/or outside performing warehouse functions.

Key Deliverables

  1. Receive and unload incoming inventory items appropriately at assigned inventory locations.
  2. Place all orders in the proper location upon arrival.
  3. Maintain clear records on all inventory and stock.
  4. Inspect stock for damages and keep record of damages.
  5. Ensure all safety and hygiene standards are met in the warehouse for shipping and receiving orders.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  1. Maintain kit pick list policy by using work and sales order documentation. Coordinate, pull, and stage parts for production, shipping, and service departments.
  2. Load and unload materials safely onto or off pallets, trucks, racks, and shelves by hand and forklift and/or cranes.
  3. Review work orders for closure and monitor partials and completions. Report shortages immediately to supervisor. Coordinate and/or fill shortages as parts are received into inventory.
  4. Assist in maintaining system location codes.
  5. Convey materials safely from stores, staged areas, and work centers to designated areas. When required, secure lifting attachments to materials and safely convey loads to appropriate destinations.
  6. Count, weigh, and record number of units of material moved or handled to ensure inventory accuracy.
  7. Safely move and store WIP and finished goods in appropriate locations.
  8. Mandatory participation required during physical inventory, including preparation beforehand.
  9. Utilize material handling equipment when required.
  10. Use and maintain all appropriate PPE.
  11. Actively participate in accident prevention and adhere to all safety requirements.
  12. Assist in other projects as required or needed.

NOTE: This position is responsible for certain internal control responsibilities. These internal control responsibilities are verbally communicated to the incumbent and periodic feedback is provided as it relates to the performance of these internal control responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing Environment

The shop manufacturing environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions, and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, and very warm and chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times, consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
