Southern Tire Mart is seeking a warehouse associate to manage tire shipments and inventory, coordinating with shipping, sales, P&D and service departments. You will safely operate forklifts and assign tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
The role requires strong organizational and multitasking abilities, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs., and a willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 401(k) with company match and benefits are provided.
Manage incoming and outgoing shipments of tires and related inventory
Coordinate closely with shipping, sales, pickup & delivery (P&D), and service departments
Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
Assign tasks to team members as needed to maintain workflow and efficiency
Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and organization
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Promote teamwork and maintain clear communication with coworkers
Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned
Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
High school diploma or GED preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and work with a team
Tire or warehouse experience preferred, but not required
Ability to lift and move tires and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without assistance
Forklift experience is a plus (training available if needed)
