Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate II to support outbound and inbound activities in a distribution environment. The role includes picking, packing, and shipping orders, using RF scanners, and maintaining accuracy and quality standards.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating various warehouse equipment, and complying with safety policies. Overtime may be required, and training will cover multiple areas of the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, palletizing and packing.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Use Warehouse Management System to check in/out products.
• Cross-train in multiple areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job Summary

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists on Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards. This job receives products in the Inbound section. As far as the outbound section, this job ships products.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
2. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
3. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
6. Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) preferred.
7. Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred.
8. Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
9. Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
10. Basic proficiency in English, including the ability to read and write in English required.

Responsibilities

1. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
2. Ability to follow direction and change priorities while working independently or as a member of a team.
3. Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit of measure items and place on designated cart.
4. Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
5. Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.
6. Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty.
7. Example equipment in the facility may include order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
8. Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
9. Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.
10. Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
11. Adhere to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.
