Description

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for:

1. Accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and processing customer orders and transfers, including:

• Understanding basic ERP system (P21) Order Entry and Transfer Entry functions
• Using the ERP system and WWMS (Wireless Warehouse Management Solution) to accurately pick customer orders and transfers
• Packing orders and transfers properly for shipping, with appropriate paperwork and labeling
• Preparing and shipping orders using ERP and UPS systems, recording shipments properly, and following shipping instructions
• Meeting safety and security standards while performing these tasks

Receiving, putting away, and cycle counting inventory, including:

• Understanding basic Purchase Order (PO) Entry functions
• Recording receipt of PO and transfer items promptly on the day of arrival
• Processing problem shipments accurately and communicating with relevant departments
• Putting stock away in appropriate warehouse locations efficiently
• Performing accurate cycle counts, aiming for 100% count twice annually

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient with MS Office
• Ability to learn and operate a forklift
• Ability to stand, stoop, reach, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Perform repetitive manual tasks
• Basic understanding of 5S strategies and ISO standards is preferred

Experience: Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
