Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved or distributed.
• Receives and counts stock items, and records data manually or by using a computer.
• Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms or warehouses; sorts items by size, type, color, or product code.
• Verifies inventory by comparing counts to records and investigates discrepancies.
• Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner; marks stock items for identification and safety compliance.
• Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, and storage areas to meet safety standards.
• Drives a hand truck or forklift to transport items between warehouse and plant or to pickup locations.
