Job description

The Warehouse Associate II is primarily responsible for working in our Receiving department, including picking, pulling, receiving, labeling, and stocking purchase orders within the specified time frame. They are responsible for handling products safely and in accordance with best practices to maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate power equipment (e.g., forklift) to unload deliveries, organize, and store received items appropriately.
2. Assist drivers with delivery and unloading of merchandise within apartment/building complexes as directed by customers.
3. Work safely, using proper lifting techniques, maintaining safety zones, and warning others of hazards.
4. Receive purchase orders accurately, checking for damages and verifying against invoices or packaging lists.
5. Pull products from shelves based on item number, size, color, and quantity requirements.
6. Pack and stage completed purchase orders for delivery.
7. Verify accuracy of picked items and staged orders.
8. Complete tasks efficiently to meet or exceed performance expectations.
9. Cross-train in other areas such as picking, labeling, shipping, and deliveries as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

• At least 6 months of distribution center or warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with the capability to lift 70 pounds with assistance or accommodations.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance record.
• Reliable and consistent work history.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to be trained on power equipment operation.

Preferred:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Over 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Experience with operating power equipment (forklift, reach truck, yard truck).
• Experience in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments.
• Good spatial reasoning skills.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
