Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Basic Job Function

• Load shipments into and out of storage, take exceptions on inbound shipments, and keep the warehouse safe and clean.
• Work as a team to properly wrap and load furniture in containers.
• Handle 80,000 - 100,000 lbs. daily in the summer and 30,000 - 40,000 lbs. in the winter.
• Maintain low warehouse claims by operating safely and efficiently.

Position Scope

Interact daily with van operators, operations personnel, local service providers, and customer service staff. Assist with inventory, loading/unloading, and repositioning merchandise. May be asked to assist with moves on short notice. Ensure possessions are transported and received in the same condition as received. Receive top-notch training focused on customer service and safe moving mechanics.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Six months to one year of HHG and warehouse experience.
• Professional, trustworthy, dependable, punctual, and able to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and physical ability to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours and on Saturdays when necessary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; previous moving experience is a plus.

Significant Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Take exceptions on inbound shipments and load containers.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and lift/carry furniture weighing 50-100 lbs, with team lifts up to 400 lbs.
• Keep the warehouse safe and clean, including grounds maintenance.
