Cuisine Solutions in San Antonio, TX is hiring for a Warehouse Associate in a fast-paced distribution environment. Two shifts are available: 1st shift 7:00 am–3:30 pm and 2nd shift 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, with weekend work on Saturdays and possibly Sundays.

• Complete all Quality Assurance orientation for new employees and annual training, including allergens, hygiene, safety, sanitation, HACCP, and GMP.
• Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
• Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Stocking and storing all materials and supplies of the warehouse.
• Reporting damage and loss of inventory to the supervisor.
• Basic computer skills

• Able to work in freezers.
• Coordinating all work functions with team associates and other departments.

TITLE: Warehouse Associate

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

DEPARTMENT: Distribution

POSITION REPORT TO: Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY: Responsible for all the tasks involved with smooth daily operations of the shipping area and shipping of orders and samples requests. 2 Open positions:

• 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) Warehouse Associates (will be expected to work Saturday and tentatively on Sunday) – MUST have at least one year of forklift experience.
• 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) Warehouse Associates (will be expected to work Saturday and tentatively on Sunday) - MUST have at least one year of forklift experience.

Experience

• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
• Must understand measurements for weight, volume and temperature.
• Requires the ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
• Interacts with other employees within the company. Rarely communicates with external vendors, delivery personnel or customers.
• Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Education

• Education equal to a 6th Grade is required. H.S. Degree, GED or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to bend, stoop and stand for lengthy periods of time; ability to work under strict production timeframes; ability to perform tasks that may include repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift and carry boxes or trays that weigh up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment

• Position requires continual working in work areas at a temperature of+45-60ºF, as well as ability to work in coolers with a temperature equal to +25-40ºF and freezers with a temperature as low as -10ºF.
• Position requires use or being in the proximity of knives, broilers, grills, ovens, searing and other food preparation equipment, and packaging equipment that requires following safety guidelines to avoid bums or injury.
• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Uniform and hygiene must be neat and clean.
