Job summary

Umanist NA in San Antonio, TX is seeking warehouse associates for 1st and 2nd shifts. Roles require forklift experience, ability to lift 40–50 lbs, and work in refrigerated environments. You will pick and verify orders, stock materials, and ensure safe shipments in a fast-paced facility.

Candidates should have basic arithmetic and English proficiency; Spanish is a plus. Prior warehouse experience preferred; training on HACCP/GMP will be provided.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift/carry boxes or trays up to 40–50 lbs.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments.
• Sixth grade minimum; HS diploma/GED or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick, prepare, and verify customer orders to ensure accurate shipments.
• Ensure the correct quantities and types of products are loaded for shipment.
• Stock, organize, and store warehouse materials and supplies.
• Report damaged goods, inventory discrepancies, and losses to the supervisor.
• Complete required quality assurance and annual training, including allergen awareness, hygiene, sanitation, safety, HACCP, and GMP procedures.
• Ensure warehouse supplies and products meet established quality standards.
• Coordinate daily activities with team members and other departments.
• Follow all plant safety, food safety, hygiene, and GMP guidelines.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and within required deadlines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment

• Work in areas maintained at approximately 45–60°F.
• Work in coolers maintained at approximately 25–40°F and freezers reaching temperatures as low as -10°F.
• Work around food preparation and packaging equipment while following applicable safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, neat uniform and comply with hygiene requirements.
• Perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
