Job summary

Core-Mark International is hiring for a warehouse position in Illinois. Under supervision, you will compile and maintain inventory records, verify counts, and ensure accurate post-and-dispatch processing for merchandise and supplies.

Responsibilities include inbound/outbound checks, handling returns, and assisting drivers, with a 2pm–10:30pm shift and a starting pay of $18 per hour plus benefits. A high school diploma is required and prior warehousing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 6+ months warehousing, returns/unloader, or related area.
• Ability to work in normal warehouse temperatures including Freezer/Cooler (-10°F to 36°F).
• Physical ability to regularly lift/carry: up to 30 lbs, up to 40 lbs frequently, up to 65 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate physical inventory counts and records.
• Handle salvage product and check for outdated items.
• Check in Delivery Drivers and inspect/unload returning trailers.
• Verify returned goods and determine disposition; re-enter goods into inventory.
• Process delivery route tickets and customer orders for operations.
• Maintain records of returns and file invoices daily.

Position Details

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies. Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and posts totals to inventory / property records. Verifies record computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Makes decisions about the disposition of returned goods
• Re-enters goods into inventory

• Maintains accurate records of returns
• Files invoices and other documents on a daily basis
• Receives Delivery Drivers’ receipts of the day’s customer deliveries
• Receives appointments as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• 6+ months warehousing, returns/unloader, or related area
• Ability to work in normal warehouse temperatures including Freezer/Cooler with temperatures ranging from 36°F (2°C) to -10°F (-23°C)
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 65 lbs. occasionally
