Job summary

California Closets is seeking a Warehouse Receiver responsible for accurate receiving and efficient inbound flow at our Brisbane, CA location. You will communicate clearly, handle product verification, and maintain quality standards to support smooth warehouse operations.

The role requires attention to detail, basic tech skills, and ability to work Monday–Friday with a 5:45 AM–2:15 PM schedule. Compensation ranges from $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, with standard benefits for this company-owned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associates degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience in distribution or warehouse roles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes all incoming products in the warehouse.
• Verifies items against bills of lading and invoices.
• Inspects shipments, records shortages, and routes items accordingly.
• Reorders damaged or mis-shipped materials after quality checks.
• Serves as inventory reconciliation SME and supports cycle counting.
• Coordinates with Warehouse Manager on daily inventory and spot checks.

Job Description

The Warehouse Receiver understands and executes receiving tasks with an elevated sense of urgency, is a strong communicator in both verbal and written formats and is technologically savvy. This associate has an in-depth knowledge of our product offerings and a keen eye for detail. The Warehouse Receiver committed to delivering the California Closets Brand Experience through supporting and participating in a healthy, cohesive, and productive environment. Ensures safe and quality work practices and adherence to site policies/procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives and processes all incoming products into the warehouse and processes using PC based software process.
• Compares identifying information, quality checks and measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, picking tickets, invoices, orders, or other records
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with supervisor to rectify damages or discrepancies. Routes items to proper departments.
• Reorders damaged or mis shipped vendor materials after quality check
• Subject Matter Expert for inventory reconciliation.
• Coordinates with Warehouse Manager and participates in Daily Cycle Counting process and quarterly full physical inventories.
• Ensures all inventory adjustments are reconciled daily before end of workday.
• Moves overstock to primary location and breaks down boxes for recycling daily or as needed.
• Partners with Epicor Specialists to resolve PO issues, reorders, negative on hands and/or any other inventory discrepancies that arise
• Informs Warehouse or Operations Manager of any receiving discrepancies.
• Knows and communicates with partners across the organization including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Epicor Specialists, Operations, Purchasing, Plan Review

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or GED
• Associates Degree related to from an accredited college or university preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse role in construction and/or in the home renovations/improvement industry, preferably within a luxury brand environment
• Experience in supporting supply chain demands
• Ability to calculate invoice and shipping totals as requested
