Role Overview

Warehouse Associates are responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, packaging, shipping, and receiving orders to ensure timely delivery to customers. This role involves maintaining organized work areas, inspecting items for quality, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

1. Order fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments specific to each customer order, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
2. Shipping coordination: Process shipping labels and documents while preparing products in staging areas for transportation or pickups.
3. Inspection: Check incoming goods for defects, damages, or discrepancies, and report issues to the supervisor or purchasing department.
4. Inventory Management: Update inventory systems with received items and ensure proper labeling and storage.
5. Documentation: Complete receiving logs, file necessary paperwork, and maintain accurate records for inventory tracking.
6. Equipment Use: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
7. Coordination: Collaborate with receiving, shipping, inventory, and quality control teams to ensure smooth workflow.
8. Stock Organization: Maintain a clean and hazard-free receiving area.
9. Returns: Process returned or defective items, coordinating with vendors for replacements or credits.
10. Other duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with receiving software and systems.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP software is a plus.
• Forklift certification is advantageous but not required.
