Job summary

Cardinal Health’s Saint Charles facility is seeking a warehouse associate to pick, pack, and ship orders in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and teamwork, with on-going training and potential certification for material handling equipment.

The position offers a flexible Friday shift from 7:30am to 4:00pm, with additional shifts possible and PTO benefits in compliance with laws. A focus on accuracy and safety supports patient care and supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow direction and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with technology/computers or POS systems is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders, including picking, packing, and preparing shipments.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and assist with projects as needed.
• May wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse.
• May work in cold temperatures during shifts.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control to keep a safe environment.
• Be willing to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment such as order pickers and forklifts.

Job description

Flex Schedule: Mandatory Friday shift from 7:30am-4:00pm (or until work is finished). Employees receive phone notifications regarding other Monday-Thursday shifts where staffing support is desired. Ideal candidate would work additional shifts when possible.

Pay rate: $20.17 per hour.

Bonus eligible: No.

Benefits: Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Our warehouse team members make it all happen. You will receive and fulfill orders so our customers can have the products they need to take care of their patients.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and/or participating in projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member as needed.
• May be required to occasionally wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse while performing certain job duties.
• May be responsible for working in cold temperatures throughout segments of the shift.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

Qualifications
