Job description

Position Summary

Under the direction of local leadership, this Part-time position will be responsible for completing tasks that support production and warehouse functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and preform various jobs/projects in the facility to meet operation needs such as sweep, empty trash and/or other projects as assigned.
  • Move product in the warehouse area to ensure inventory levels are correct for operations.
  • Pick and pack product, tools, and/or equipment to meet internal and/or external Customer orders.
  • Demonstrate a continual effort to streamline work processes and work cooperatively with other departments to provide a quality and seamless operation.
  • Work with members of a team and/or department to effectively complete work assignment as assigned.
  • Able to listen, retain, and execute directions as given by local leadership.
  • Observe all company, state and federal safety policies and procedures; observes and follows all company (operational) policies and procedures.
  • Expected to keep a safe and clean work area.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area; Observe all company, local, and federal safety rules, location and company best practices, and company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Exposure to warehouse environment (able to stand for long periods of time, able to move product as required).
  • Able to understand assignment and complete assignment accurately and efficiently
  • Knowledge of various industry standards such as: OSHA
  • Must be safety, customer, and team focused
  • Good aptitude for problem solving; Good communication, computer, and time management skills
  • Able to effectively problem solve.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, looking up information, and/or creating reports.
  • Able to communicate oral and written communication skills; follow directions-written direction, oral direction, reading work orders and/or specs as assigned; work in a team environment and communicate with team, various departments, and/or Customers as business needs dictate.
  • Customer Focused-able to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects, and produce a quality work product
  • For positions that utilize a company vehicle, will be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Information

Job:Part-Time 16-20 hours per week, Non-union

Location: Farmingdale, NJ

Travel: up to 5%

Compensation: Pay for this role is $20 per hour.

Relocation: Relocation assistance not offered for this role.

Benefits: Paid time off.

Physical Demands: Lifting and/or pushing/pulling a maximum of 50lbs on a daily basis. Warehouse environment, cleaning, organizing, and keeping track of inventory.
