Pay Range

Base pay range: $13.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for checking incoming merchandise against invoices, ensuring neatness in warehouses and check-in areas, pricing merchandise, preparing packages, loading merchandise into vehicles, cleaning, and maintaining equipment. The role requires performing tasks with speed and accuracy to maintain customer service levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Verify shipment contents visually and use basic arithmetic to check merchandise against documents.
2. Communicate with management, employees, and delivery personnel; report shortages, damages, and backorders.
3. Operate 2-way radio and respond to pages.
4. Load customer purchases into vehicles, ensuring damage-free handling and excellent service.
5. Perform janitorial duties and maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, and offices.
6. Keep warehouse and storage areas organized and stock areas appropriately.
7. Operate loading/unloading equipment safely, including forklifts.
8. Move merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds as needed.
9. Price or label incoming merchandise correctly.
10. Repair or mend damaged tools and merchandise as directed.
11. Follow security procedures and maintain invoice and purchase order security.
12. Set up merchandise displays for promotions and events.
13. Prepare packages for mailing and maintain receiving files.
14. Know product locations and use standards for sorting.
15. Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
16. Participate in special projects and store meetings.

Qualifications

Work Environment & Physical Demands
