Job description

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM or until work is complete, with overtime expected.

What Warehouse Operations Contribute to Cardinal Health: Warehouse Operations ensures an uninterrupted flow of life-saving drugs through the medical supply chain. We are responsible for performing a combination of crucial tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of sensitive products. Our efforts directly contribute to hospitals and doctors' offices' ability to administer essential medical products to patients in need.

Qualifications:

• We are open to candidates with little to no warehouse experience. If you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, you could be a great fit. All training is provided starting your first day!
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire 8-hour or longer shift.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Comfortable working at heights of 25-30 feet regularly.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision and a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork according to policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Additional preferred qualifications include prior experience with RF scanners, voice picking, material handling equipment, and familiarity with computer or point of sale systems. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including picking products, performing quality checks, packing, inputting information into computers, and preparing shipments.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed, such as order picking, outbound dock, fluid packing, and automated storage systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including performing housekeeping and inventory tasks and using required personal protective equipment like safety shoes and harnesses.
• Willingness to be trained and certified to operate material handling equipment such as order pickers, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.

Expected Performance:

• Apply knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
• Learn and apply new information and methods.
• Maintain necessary licenses, training, and certifications.
• Complete routine assignments, resolving some problems independently.
• Work within standard operating procedures and adhere to quality guidelines.
• Work under moderate supervision, with regular review of output, and escalate complex issues to supervisors.

Pay Rate: $21.60 per hour (including shift differential).
Bonus eligible: No.
