Job summary

The Salvation Army's Old Pasadena Thrift Store is hiring a Warehouse Associate in the Production department. This full-time role supports receiving, sorting, and transporting merchandise for the organization's Adult Rehabilitation Program, contributing to a positive donor and customer experience.

Candidates should be high school graduates or equivalent, able to lift up to 75 lbs, read and follow written and verbal instructions, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated competency in skill area as indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Sort product efficiently and properly according to TSA policy.
• Provide Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
• Identify product correctly and direct to proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from distribution center and safely transport materials.
• Follow safety measures established and maintained by TSA policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed and required for the operation of the total program.
• Overtime: written approval of supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Essential Job Duties

• Sort product efficiently and properly according to the standard of TSA policy. 2. Provide Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
• Identify product correctly and direct to proper department for processing. 4. Collecting merchandise from the distribution center and safely transporting materials.
• Follow safety measures established and maintained by TSA policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed and required for the operation of the total program.
• Overtime: Any and all overtime must have the written approval of the supervisor. The supervisor’s initials must appear on the timecard besides the overtime hours.
• Other written or verbal duties as may be assigned, from time to time by the Production Manager, the Administrator or their designated representative.

Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate store coverage. Part-time associates may be scheduled to work any part-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
