Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Operations team member for a 3rd shift (Sun-Thurs, 6:15pm-2:45am) in Kansas City. You will follow procedures to fulfill orders, pick and pack items, and prepare shipments while maintaining safety and quality standards.

No degree is required; training starts on day one. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced distribution setting, with opportunities to cross-train and advance within the team.

Qualifications

• No warehouse experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort with heights of 20–30 ft regularly.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Able to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Experience with computers or POS systems is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders and pick/pack products.
• Prepare orders for shipment and perform quality checks.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects.
• Maintain housekeeping and inventory control for a safe work environment.
• Be willing to train and be certified to operate material handling equipment.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. No matter what you do at Cardinal Health, you make a difference. Our warehouse team members make it all happen. You will receive and fulfill orders so our customers can have the products they need to take care of their patients.

Shift/Schedule

40 hours weekly 3rd Shift / Nights Sunday - Thursday 6:15pm - 2:45am Must work until tasks are completed Must be flexible to work other days if needed

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders.
• This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross‑training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty.

Qualifications

We are open to candidates with little to no warehouse experience. If you are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment you could be a great fit for our team. All training is provided starting your first day!

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to following direction and change priorties
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
