Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Merchandise Selector in Fernley, NV, to pick items for orders, load and move stock, and prep shipments in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will use RF scanners to ensure accuracy, operate powered equipment, and collaborate across departments to meet customer demand while following safety guidelines and company programs. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items if required.
• Must have physical stamina for long hours of standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and other physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pick and count items from bins, flat stock and racks to fill orders.
• Load, unload and move product by hand, tote or skid.
• Verify products using item numbers and descriptions; inspect for damage or improper packaging; use RF equipment to validate items.
• Batch orders and assign packing slips to pick product to totes via RF scanning.
• Operate basic and advanced powered equipment (electric pallet jack, forklift, turret truck, order picker).
• Train cross-functionally in other departments to support business needs.

Merchandise Selector - Monday - Friday - 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

MSC is growing—and going—strong. We seek a team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment to manually select product for orders and prepare for shipment, and transport pallets on motorized pallet jacks throughout our Customer Fulfillment Center.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

You will have a hands-on role in our warehouse to ensure delivery of our vast product line to our valued customers.

• Pick and count items from bins, flat stock and racks to fill orders.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer's needs
• Valid state driver's license, in some instances
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items, if required

Compensation starting at $20.75/hrdepending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
