Job summary

Weller Metalworks in Libertyville, Illinois is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily order fulfillment, packing and shipping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be cross-trained on shipping tasks and other logistics duties, with a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, holiday/sick time, health/dental/vision insurance, bonuses, and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

Job Overview: As a Warehouse Associate, you would be responsible for the following:

• You will perform the daily functions of preparing, packing and shipping customer orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• You will be cross-trained on other functions of our shipping department (e.g. packing slip/BOL creation, UPS shipping) as required to support the overall team effort of the Logistics Department.

Required Qualifications:

• - Motivated, independent, self-starter, able to think on your feet. Willing to take on new responsibilities and grow.
• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
• Warehouse experience or similar environment.
• Experience working on a computer, comfortable with some with data entry.
• Must be a detail oriented person willing and able to contribute to a winning team effort.
• Able to read and write English

Physical Requirements and Duties:

• Ability to reach, turn, twist, and walk - repeat motion.
• Ability to stand for 85% of a work shift.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. at a time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience a plus, but not necessary
• Experience Stocking in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with both Shipping and Receiving in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with both Picking and Packing in a warehouse environment.
