Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC in California seeks a reliable production associate to sort merchandise, inspect quality, and move items from the distribution center in accordance with TSA policy.

You will follow safety measures, maintain confidentiality, and work under the Production Manager with overtime requiring supervisor approval and initials on the timecard. GED or HS required, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, reading/writing skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Sort product efficiently and properly according to TSA policy.
• Provide quality assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
• Identify product correctly and direct to proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transporting materials.
• Follow safety measures established by TSA policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for operation of the total program.
• Overtime requires written supervisor approval and supervisor's initials on timecard.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Manager or representative.

The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. QUALIFICATIONS

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated competency in skill area as indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
