Job summary

The U.S. Coast Guard Community Services Command is seeking a Warehouse Worker for Kodiak, AK. This full-time role handles receiving, storing and shipping merchandise, unloads shipments, and maintains inventory accuracy.

You will ensure a clean, safe facility and greet customers with product knowledge while following loss-prevention policies. Qualifications include basic reading/writing in English, ability to lift 50 lbs, and one year of warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and comprehend English and write legibly.
• Must be able to apply basic math skills.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs indoors.
• Preferred: 1 year warehouse experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, and ships merchandise and processes incoming shipments.
• Unloads shipments, reports over/short/damaged items, and routes merchandise to correct locations.
• Counts items during inventories and assists in stock rotation and pricing.
• Maintains safety, housekeeping and loss prevention practices.
• Welcomes customers, maintains product knowledge, and communicates availability.
