Job summary

Cardinal Health in Durham, NC, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, storage, and shipment of products. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, operation of material handling equipment, and ability to work overtime to complete daily tasks.

You will follow standard procedures, participate in cross-training, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace while contributing to efficient product flow to customers.

Qualifications

• No warehouse experience required; fast-paced environment suitable.
• All training provided on day one.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for the full shift.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working at heights of 20–30 feet.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Overtime may be required to finish daily work.

Job description

Schedule: M-F 6AM, until the work is completed overtime expected What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider

Qualifications

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working with heights up to 20 to 30 feet regularly
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• Work schedules require you to have the ability to work overtime as necessary to ensure that all of the day’s work is complete
