Safelite in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Warehouse Associate III to prepare glass for distribution and support field teams with timely shipments.
You will operate MHE equipment (forklift, reach truck, order picker), use RF scanners, and help with loading/unloading while maintaining safety standards. Leadership potential and reliability are valued for growth into a Lead role within the year.
The Warehouse Associate III prepares our glass for distribution to our field operation teams by performing various functions to meet rigorous shipping timelines to get the right parts to the right team members to serve our customers.

Operate s and will be certified on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including forklift s, reach truck s, and order picker s raised to heights of up to 40 feet.
Utilize handheld RF scanners to receive, pick, ship, or locate inventory; will focus primarily on picking glass orders.
May occasionally drive and deliver automotive glass, accessories, and parts to store locations.
Adhere to all safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Assist with offloading tractor trailers by hand or forklift.
Demonstrate leadership potential by driving process improvements, mentoring peers, and serving as a key resource for the team, with the opportunity to grow into a Lead role within the first year based on performance and business need.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid state-issued driver's license required and any other license(s) (as required by federal, state, and local laws) to operate a company vehicle; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check (MVR).
Experience with MHE equipment including order picker, forklift, and reach truck.
Strong preference for candidates with order picker experience.
To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs.
Strength to perform physical tasks involving repetitive moving or raising of objects weighing up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable with working in various environmental conditions, such as seasonal heat or cold, and staying in a stationary position for long shifts.
Proven ability to influence others, drive results, and take initiative beyond defined responsibilities, with a demonstrated interest in developing leadership skills.
