Job summary

Cardinal Health, 3000 Mark IV Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76106, is seeking a Warehouse Operations associate to support inbound, outbound and packing activities in a climate-controlled distribution facility.

The role involves manual material handling, voice picking, and operation of various MHE; candidates should meet safety standards and be able to work 12-hour shifts when needed. This position is on site in Fort Worth, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• RF scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred or willing to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended shifts.
• Experience with safety rules and PPE in a distribution environment.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts as needed with limited notice.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks in Inbound using pallet jack and move pallets from trucks.
• Check in products using Manhattan system; store refrigerated items per rules.
• Store and organize products in warehouse locations; pick items for outbound.
• Cross-train in Inbound, Replenishment and Outbound departments.
• Break down cases, stock or replenish using PIT equipment.
• Use voice-to-pick system to handle large case items and small items.
• Ensure high quality by identifying items by item number.
• Organize similar items at receipt; palletize large items for shipment.
• Pack and label small items; drive MHE when required (forklift, etc.).

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 12:30PM Start - Completion (Expandable to 12-hour shifts as business needs)

Work Location: Cardinal Health, 3000 Mark IV Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76106 (Climate controlled facility)

Anticipated hourly range:$18.36 per hour - $21.11 per hour

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Responsibilities

• Unloading trucks in the Inbound section by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to put pallets out of the trucks.
• Using Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products. If working with specialty products, must follow regulations to store refrigerated products.
• Storing products in warehouse locations using order picker or other devices.
• Picking products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks.
• Cross-training in multiple departments: Inbound, Replenishment and Outbound
• Breaking down cases of product and operate PIT equipment to stock or replenish warehouse
• Utilizing voice to pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or to pick small unit of measure items and place on cart
• Ensuring high quality through attention to detail and correctly identify products by item number
• Organizing and segregate similar items at point of receipt
• Breaking down and palletizing large items to skid and wrap for shipment
• Packing and correctly label small items in boxes or bags
• Driving material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes: order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 1 - 2 years related experience preferred
• Previous material handling experience (MHE) preferred, but willing to learn to operate MHE
• Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more required
• Must be ready, willing and able to work a 12-hour shift as needed with limited to no advance notice.
• Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently
• Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health's EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast - paced environment while meeting productivity and quality standards
