Job summary

Alameda Electrical Distributors, Inc. is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate II for our Salinas, CA location. This role supports the branch operations, handles order preparation, and movement of stock using a forklift and wire machinery.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer relations skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A forklift certification and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills is required.
• Basic computer skills are needed to perform daily tasks.
• Pass Forklift certification training is required.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
• Receiving and put-away experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Pulling/picking tickets to fulfill orders.
• Restocking shelves and maintaining bin locations and labels.
• Prepare orders for shipment by boxing and labeling items.
• Operate wire machine according to procedure.
• Operate forklift to move pallets and heavy materials.
• Keep the shipping area and warehouse clean and safe.

As our Warehouse Associate II, here are some of the duties the position will be doing:

• Pulling/picking tickets
• Restocking shelves correctly; maintaining bin locations and labels; returning stock to proper locations
• Prepare orders for shipment by boxing and labeling items accurately
• Operating wire machine according to procedure
• Operating forklift to move pallets and other heavy materials
• Keeping shipping area, warehouse aisles and walkway, pipe yard and parking lot clean and free of any safety hazards
• Assist the sales counter associates on the sales counter when needed
• Assist drivers with backup delivery driving
