Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Lake Bluff, IL location. You will receive, counts and record shipment data, match packing lists, and safely operate forklifts to load, unload and move goods.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data.
• Matches packing list information to packed merchandise.
• Record receiving data using computer.
• Identify incorrect/short, shipped items and notify supervisor.
• Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to load, unload, sort, fabricate, pick, stock, stage, and transport goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area.
• May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area and follows safety policies.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system.
• Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Record receiving data using computer.
• Identify incorrect/short, shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.
• Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, fabricating, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area.
• May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
• Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• May drive a company vehicle to deliver or pick up material.
• May perform order layout and make changes to carriers or picking method.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferably, YOU have:

• High school diploma or GED 1+ year of experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Requirements Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment assessments.

Pay: $16.14 - $21.51 per hour
