Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring for a warehouse associate at our Fort Worth facility. The role involves cross-training in inbound and outbound processes, receiving large boxes, scanning products with RF scanners, and inputting data into the computer system.

The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and operating equipment like forklifts and order pickers. Overtime is mandatory, with a start time of 4:30 AM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred 1 - 2 years related experience
• Previous material handling equipment experience (MHE)
• RF scanner and/or voice to pick experience
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hours
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse
• Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently
• Adherence to site safety regulations including PPE such as steel-toed shoes and safety harness
• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly quotas
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer skills
• Flexibility/adaptability with good multi-tasking skills

Job description

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 4:30AM start until completion (Mandatory Overtime)

Work Location: 3000 Mark IV Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX, 76106 (Climate controlled facility)

Anticipated hourly range: $18.36 per hour - $21.11 per hour based on experience

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Responsibilities

• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse including inbound and outbound
• Receiving large boxes on warehouse dock, scanning product with RF scanner, and inputting product information into computer
• Breaking down cases of product and operating heavy equipment to replenish warehouse
• Utilizing voice to pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or to pick small unit of measure items and placing on cart
• Palletizing large items to skid and wrap for shipment
• Packing small items in boxes
• Driving material handling equipment as required by job duty.
• Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred 1 - 2 years related experience
• Previous material handling equipment experience (MHE)
• Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience
• Ability to consistently lift 50 Ibs and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more required
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse
• Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently
• Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.
• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly established distribution quotas and performance standards
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction
• Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures
• Familiarity with Microsoft office products and general computer skills desired
• Flexibility/adaptability coupled with good multi-tasking skills
