Job summary

Mediacom Communications is hiring a Warehouse Associate I in Des Moines, IA. You will be responsible for receiving, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment, including CPE, under the supervision of a manager or senior staff.

Core duties include maintaining secure inventory, testing and recording CPE movements, and transporting items between locations. The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety implications in duties.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and show initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to maintain records and procedures.
• Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory in a secure, orderly manner with controls.
• Test, input, and record CPE status moves in the tracking system.
• Transport inventory and CPE between locations using company vehicle.
• Perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory.
• Investigate discrepancies between records and physical inventory.
• Distribute supplies and return items to proper locations when used.
• Perform shipping and receiving, lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Prepare equipment for shipment to repair facilities or distribution centers.
• Lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned.
