Job summary

White Cap, a leading construction materials distributor, is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Virginia. You will support warehouse operations by loading, unloading, picking orders, and preparing materials for shipping, while upholding safety and quality standards.

This on-site role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate basic material-handling equipment, and work in a fast-paced team. No advanced degree required; HS diploma or GED preferred, with 0–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, sorts, picks, stocks, stages, and transports materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Prepares items for shipment or customer pickup by securely packaging materials.
• Verifies product accuracy and condition before staging or shipping.
• Installs protective devices such as bracing or padding to prevent damage during transport.
• Operates forklifts or other material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Assists customers, installers, or subcontractors by fulfilling orders or locating materials.
• May drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials as needed.
