Job summary

Midwest Veterinary Supply, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate I in Birmingham, AL.

The role involves safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods in the distribution center, including order pulling, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Responsibilities include using RF scanners to fulfill orders, labeling and shipping, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
• Minimum of 3 months of similar warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic computer skills; ability to operate a Windows-based computer preferred.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work independently.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Use an RF Scanner for accurate order fulfillment.
• Move completed orders to the next processing area.
• Inspect inventory and flag potential issues to supervisor.
• Scan items to verify correct products for shipment.
• Apply packaging to protect items in transit.
• Verify lot/batch numbers, quantities, and product attributes.
• Print and attach shipping labels to packages.
• Move packages to carrier staging areas.
• Maintain safe, clean warehouse workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
