Job summary

VSE is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Augusta, KS to fulfill and package customer orders, receive incoming material, and prepare orders for domestic shipping. Work will be in a team environment to achieve expected results.

Responsibilities include order picking and packaging, receiving and storing material, documentation for shipping, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. AOG duty and on-call rotation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; no work experience needed.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• AOG duty, on call service rotation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Detail oriented, efficient, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to work in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Pick and package orders.
• Receive, pack, and store material in warehouse locations.
• Understand vendor paperwork for receiving and shipping.
• Prepare orders for domestic and international shipping with required documents.
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse and workstations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: As part of a leading Global Aerospace Distributor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for fulfilling and packaging customer orders, receiving incoming material, and preparing customer orders for domestic shipping. The Warehouse Associate will be required to work in a team environment to achieve the expected results.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Order Picking and Packaging.
• Receiving, Packing, and Storing material in warehouse locations.
• General understanding of vendor paperwork upon receiving and shipping.
• Prepare orders for domestic and international shipping and verify all required documentation is included.
• Ensures warehouse and workstations are clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED). No work experience needed.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• AOG duty, on call service rotation
• Has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including word, excel, and outlook
• Must be detail oriented, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Able to work in a cross functional team environment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree or technical certification.
• 1+ years of professional work experience.
• Intermediate computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of Component Control Quantum.
• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
