Job summary

Capitol Building Supply, Inc. in Fredericksburg is seeking a Warehouse Worker to handle warehouse maintenance, shipping/receiving, storage, and delivery setup.

Forklift experience is a plus, with responsibilities including loading/unloading, inventory control, and order preparation for pickup or delivery. The role requires the ability to work independently and within a team, maintain safety standards, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; 1-3 years of experience or more is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and on a team; establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy; prepare orders, pull materials, and stage for pickup or delivery.
• Load/unload trucks and maintain inventory controls to minimize damage and ensure order accuracy.
• Move and organize the warehouse, manage bin locations, and ensure equipment is maintained per standards.
• Think independently, solve problems, and communicate solutions promptly to team and management.
