Job summary

Cardinal Health in Wheeling, WV is seeking a Warehouse Associate to fulfill orders in a fast-paced distribution center. You will pick, pack, and ship products and support inventory control and safety practices.

The role includes operating material handling equipment, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment with potential overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment and meet performance quotas and attendance requirements.
• Experience with computers or POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
• Occasionally wear steel-toed boots while performing job duties.
• Work in cold temperatures throughout segments of the shift.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty.
• Use order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

Job description

Schedule: Sunday from 6:30pm-3:30am (or until work completion) and Monday-Thursday from 8:00pm-4:30am (or until work completion). Start times and overtime may vary based on business needs.

Pay Rate: $18.80 per hour (includes shift differential). Bonus eligible: No.

Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. You will receive and fulfill orders so our customers can have the products they need to take care of their patients.

Qualifications

• Little to no warehouse experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment.
• All training provided starting your first day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
• Experience working with technologies like computers or point of sale systems (a plus).
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Basic proficiency in English required, including reading and writing in English in order to process documents.
