Job summary
Caterpillar Morton Distribution Center is hiring Warehouse Associates to ensure parts reach customers swiftly, handling receiving, picking, packing, shipping and material handling. You will operate scanners, learn to drive reach trucks and forklifts, and build shipping containers as needed, with a safety-first mindset.
Two shifts are available: 2nd shift 3:00pm–11:00pm and 3rd shift 11:00pm–7:00am, both at $19.91/hour plus a $1 shift premium.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old and able to read, write, and conduct business in English.
- Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills.
- Safety-focused mindset and willingness to wear PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in changing temperatures.
- Overtime may be required.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material-handling activities.
- Use handheld scanners for receiving, counting, and order processing.
- Train and operate equipment such as reach trucks, cherry/pickers, and forklifts.
- Use pneumatic and power tools to build shipping containers and apply protective coatings.
- Report equipment defects and maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
