Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply is seeking a warehouse associate to load and unload trucks, stock inbound materials, and build outbound orders. The role requires forklift operation, reading shipping documents, and ensuring safety rules are followed in a physically demanding warehouse environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and be able to pass forklift tests. Prior building materials experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and shipping documents.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Able to pass a forklift operator’s test following standard training.
• Previous experience with building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unloads materials from customers’ and suppliers’ trucks.
• Put away or stock inbound materials.
• Pulls customers’ orders from inventory on hand.
• Loads company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
• Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
• Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
• Observe all safety rules and procedures.
• Assist in counting inventory.
• Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.
