Job summary

SRS Building Products Buffalo location is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage receiving, stock, and distribution of materials and equipment. You will unload inbound shipments, log items, and prepare outbound orders for on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes safe operation of forklifts, inventory control, and teamwork within a fast-paced distribution environment. High School diploma required; forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Operator certification (preferred).
• Experience in high-volume distribution environments (preferred).
• Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiar with industry-specific software applications.
• Proficient in Spanish or another secondary language (preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety.
• Safety audits and training knowledge (preferred).
• Adaptable to changing environments and challenges (preferred).
• Effective time management and teamwork skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently receive, count, verify, and unload incoming orders and shipments, logging and storing materials per standards.
• Load outgoing orders onto trucks ensuring correct product handling and documentation for delivery schedules.
• Maintain organized warehouse and yard, upholding safety and operational standards.
• Distribute materials to storage areas, rotate stock, and report discrepancies or damaged items.
• Collaborate with team to support a cooperative, productive work environment.
• Operate forklifts and other handling equipment safely and proficiently per guidelines.
