Job summary

The role requires operating forklifts and reaching equipment, order picking, and assembling customer orders for shipment. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and 6–12 months related experience; safety awareness and ability to use hand tools are highly valued.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient forklift operation and reach truck.
• Familiar with order picking and loading/unloading outbound product.
• Strong warehouse safety awareness and ability to use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Operate forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.
